Overview

This brand new state of the art multi- specialty hospital is seeking several full-time board-certified or residency trained small animal Neurologists to join an exciting new veterinary practice with enormous growth potential.

This hospital is a mixed species (canine, feline, equine) multi-specialty veterinary practice that will be open in Spring 2016.  We strive to be the best in customer service, dedication, innovation, quality care, and support the current 1st opinion primary care vets.   The mission of our hospital is to enhance animal health by delivering superior quality care and personalized treatment while continuing to advance the veterinary profession through continued training and discovery.

Our hospital will be an innovator in veterinary medicine over the coming years, and we are looking for internists that wish to build and grow a program that best represents their specialty and meets the needs of all pets in the Pittsburgh region.  The internal medicine program can be developed to the standards of the internists employed by UVS and designed to best suit their interests and skill sets.

Our small animal specialist team will consist of 24/7 trauma and emergency services along with internal medicine, surgery, and physical therapy upon opening.  We quickly plan to add Dermatology, Neurology, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, and Oncology to the working team as soon as possible (Summer 2016).

Available on-site state of the art equipment will include: new GE Optima 16-slice helical CT scan, endoscopy, portable GE Optima digital radiography, in-house laboratory, GE Logiq ultrasound, whirlpool and underwater treadmill.

Attendance at regular M&M rounds and journal club along with regular CE meetings will be strongly encouraged.  The veterinarians here will also be crucial in providing educational opportunities for our clients along with community outreach.

This position includes a very competitive market salary, fringe-benefits package with incentives, and a flexible work schedule.
